As a professor, you can on average create a 15-hour week for yourself. Those who want to climb higher or achieve something in research work 60 hours.
There is not much for a professorship. Degree and doctorate, at a university of applied sciences also experience in the industry. Otherwise, good research results at the university. That is already more difficult. It presumably also fails due to the entry requirements. These are quite formal for all types of civil servants. But you can try: sometimes equivalence is recognized.
Such examples unfortunately exist, but fortunately they are dying out. I would not assume it as the norm. But great for the regulars' table...As a professor, you can also put together an average 15-hour week. Those who want to go further up or achieve something in research work 60 hours.
There are certainly some disciplines where it is possible to count something else as equivalent. But especially for engineers and scientists, there will usually be candidates with a doctorate. It will then be more difficult against them.As far as I know, Steffen does not have a degree. Honestly, is a doctorate a mandatory entry requirement? According to the career regulations?
