Ah, I didn't know that. Thanks for the enlightenment. Our family net income is 5400€. Still, we can't handle our financing easily. Honestly, I consider our earnings a healthy middle ground, so we don't have to watch every cent, but a big trip has to be saved up for first and a second car is not possible (my husband drives a Vmax).

That was from me... I had written that as an IT specialist in application development (without a degree), I would "now" and with 15 years of professional experience also have to/should be in that range. Of course, some luck is also involved. But it is certainly not unrealistic. Besides, I know what I am capable of.

I feel the same about your income as well (at least here in the forum). ONLY I am not allowed to write that. Because if I do write it... then I am considered really arrogant and out of touch with reality

5400 for a family you can't complain about (in NRW). Thank God all the craftsmen earn significantly less. Otherwise, building a house would be much more expensive

But we won't get rich from it either. When I look at what I pay for daycare fees
Plus alimony for the 2 big children and a lot of money is gone.
We live well, no question, but we don't have excessive luxury (our TV is just 38 inches ).
I wouldn't even know how I could manage with significantly less money.
