Can you make anything of the plan?
Yes, as much as you want: Regarding your current question, it is clear from it that you did not misread the plan, and that there is a sink but no stove - whether kitchen herbs are present is not marked ;-). The plan looks as if we would certainly like to see it as a whole as well. If you want more helpful hints for other areas, then show more, as long as it can still be useful. However, there will always be a lot of complaining about things that the builders themselves like. Some forum users therefore prefer to show their plans only when the decisions are final. With the retro-style floor plan, your house at least has a rarity value here, and some people might be happy to find inspiration for it here as well.
His argument for the high window sill: the windows in the kitchen and small bathroom should be at the same height. And because of the flush tank in the bathroom, the window sill height...
That is technically nonsense, even if the flush tanks are just as retro as the floor plan. But I think you can certainly combine an 80s floor plan with 90s flush tanks. Besides, it's an original argument coming from a planner who on the other hand places the 45° kink of the exterior wall at the rear in a different place than at the front – which means the roof will not be symmetrical (?)
Unfortunately, I didn’t get through to my wife about asymmetry. Otherwise, I would have planned my windows very individually.
Girls are dumb, that was already the case in the sandbox ;-). And you did well with the middle child's room window to bring life to the façade.
One should not underestimate such paths where passers-by walk by. Almost everyone STARES into the house. I believe people don't even do that with bad intentions – where light comes from or something moves, people just look.
It would probably go too far if I now repeated Rose Nylund’s story about old Mrs. Hickenlöper, so I will limit myself to the brief suggestion to stare back.
