As of now, is there any indication what the treatment room is for?
I find the whole floor plan rather convoluted
Storage room that is not usable
Gallery is in a better location than the children's room with northeast orientation
Why have a dining table if the counter is supposed to serve as a makeshift family area. A nice large open-plan kitchen and a makeshift solution is not necessary
No direct connection between the living units
Also in the grandparents' area, again a long narrow hallway and utility room
Which storage room is not usable and why?
I've never really seen it as a disadvantage that a child's room faces northeast.
I just can’t quite imagine it right now, sure, you don't get direct sunlight in there. But with daylight, it is bright enough. Especially with a window that is 1.60 x 1.60 meters large.
The dining table is there to eat at when guests are over or when the children are older, possibly in the evening.
I don't like counters, that's why also the table height. The narrow table in the kitchen is there so that you can quickly have breakfast in the morning without having to clear everything into the living/dining room first.
What exactly do you mean by no direct connection between the living units?
Separate flat and main house? It was particularly important to me that these are separated and you can really only get into the houses via their entrances. There was talk, for example, of building a door from the utility room into the flat. But I was immediately against that :)
