Can you explain to me how you come to this assumption? Most system owners come out ahead, and even if not, it's still a gain for the environment and promotes the decentralization of energy supply. Also, with regard to the increasing energy consumption of single-family homes (heat pumps and BEVs), there is nothing more reasonable than producing the generated electricity directly on-site yourself, right? To avoid going off-topic, feel free to continue via PM... ;)

The system costs around 14. Yield around 65% of our electricity demand. Electricity costs currently around 800 p.a. Then it would only be about 300. Profit 500 p.a. 28 years until it pays off. That’s how I calculate.

You should really calculate properly. Do without self-consumption and feed in.
With a system for €14,000 you definitely get about €1,200 annual revenue only with feed-in!!! Self-consumption is not taken into account here. Therefore, your statement as well as calculation is nonsense ;).

It's best to read carefully here in the forum. As nordanney wrote, the calculation is done exactly the other way around. Namely only based on the feed-in. Self-consumption is just the icing on the cake. But the fixation on self-consumption is also what solar installers use to sell the uneconomical electricity storage systems.

You can make the numbers look good however you like. Idealists should put such a thing on their roof.

Yes, and now? Then I need 12 years to get my money back — I’d rather invest the €14,000 in more sensible (meaning more profitable) investments. I understand the arguments about decentralization, ecology, climate change, emergency power supply, self-sufficiency, etc. But calling that economical — you must have failed math. It’s already enough that some call their home an “investment.”

Hobby politicians who have understood NOTHING except that it will become "in" and that they can thereby appear modern.

Thanks to genetic engineering, the little one will already see purple cows outside of chocolate advertisements ;-)

The relief measures are only there so that the cost-increasing standard “improvements” do not trigger mutinies at the ballot boxes. This must be considered a "marketing tactical maneuver" of politics, planning both measures from the outset, leaking at least the relief measure first (or even better: introducing it first at all).
