Well, and now in the last few weeks it has been between -5 and plus 10 degrees. Sunny, foggy, rain, dry. At 10 degrees, I also don’t wear a winter jacket

And they have to be accessible somewhere. Currently winter jacket, winter coat, transitional coat, and transitional jacket. Similar with shoes. And now times four. It may be that the householder hoards them in the car (since everything somehow revolves around the garage) but there are supposed to be other family members .... right?

Something different: I would leave out the partition wall to the pantry and simply put tall kitchen cabinets against the wall. It offers just as much storage space as the planned narrow room, but makes the kitchen huge and more pleasant to work in.

Since this is just a sketch, we can simply note that in general.

This is not so easy at all, although it seems that way. The big question is the orientation of the main rooms. You quickly get confused, which you can also see well in the original draft in my opinion.

I have now aligned it radically to the west and taken the house to 12m in width. For that, I shortened the depth accordingly to remain cost-neutral. I killed the utility room door - sorry. Instead, there's a real pantry and upstairs the exit to the garage as a future option. In addition, the children's rooms have an appropriate size. If the stair entry next to the front door is not an option, one could also simply switch to a half-turn here. I just find this form nicer. (However, the staircase is not a landing! Program error)

Maybe I'll try one more with the orientation of kitchen and living room like in the original, but so far that has rather turned out worse.

The red thread is there, everything nicely clear, I would take it as is.
