Regarding the question of impact sound insulation: Our floor construction consists of screed, leveling compound (partly filler), adhesive, and then the vinyl. Therefore, impact sound insulation is unnecessary, as a solid connection is ultimately created between the screed and the vinyl. I also initially thought that it might crack when walking over it, like with laminate. We definitely did not want that. The advantage of gluing is also that the individual planks can be replaced separately if something should happen. Now it is such that at first glance you can hardly tell whether it is real wood, tiles with a wood look, or vinyl. This was also confirmed to us by an acquaintance who is a flooring installer: With the new "design floor coverings," he always has to look and feel for a while to know exactly what is laid there. Regarding the water on the floor: When the vinyl is glued down, we were told that even a 10-liter bucket of water could be spilled. The floor is relatively insensitive, and we could also have installed it in the bathroom.
