Walk-in showers were included in all three bathrooms for us again. I thought that was standard nowadays? If the surcharge is only for the screed, that sounds like a lot...

No, that is not standard at Weberhaus. Standard is a deep shower tray, which I believe still protrudes 1.5 cm. But completely flush with the floor costs extra.

Hi,

I'm slowly beginning to believe that my general contractor was really mild with his surcharges.... and I’ve already had some serious confrontations with the site manager several times.
What exactly do they want 2640€ for? Surely not for 2 cm of screed? Is your screed adorned with gold and installed by virgin priestesses under a full moon???

Do you want a walk-in shower or a tiled shower now? A "walk-in" shower tray usually still protrudes about 2 cm above the floor. But that is the standard; do these classic ones with a 20 cm high entry even still exist?

Best regards,

Andreas

I also find this surcharge policy a bit strange. I wanted a larger bathtub. 1.75m is standard, I wanted 1.80m. Costs about €2000 extra.

Unfortunately, that is the downside of prefab construction. All the postcard houses are listed at €230,000 in the catalog. However, the house itself quickly reaches €300,000, and then there are the additional costs on top.

Have you already signed? If not, who is forcing you to build with the provider?
