Oh, I misunderstood you there. Your initial post was purely focused on television.

No matter, the matter remains simple, especially if you need it for work:
- Internet: Telekom (LTE would be too risky or unstable for work for me)
- Phone: Telekom, VOIP, SIP, or mobile phone
- For TV the mentioned options

As soon as the fiber optic is available, you take it. Who knows when it will really be activated.

Very simple solution.

No one can be blamed for the fact that you in the civil servant's little room do not believe that this internet will eventually prevail. But please do not ridicule a modern network cabling for a (guessed) young person who still wants to use their house for decades.

He’s asking for an alternative for three or four months,- and you bombard him with technical jargon that he didn’t even ask for. And possibly doesn’t even understand. That’s my point.

But there was no technical jargon in dhd82's post, rather a very good contribution for the future-proof equipment of his new house. Unfortunately, this is still not standard nowadays.

Based on my experiences with Deutsche Glasfaser, I do not see a temporary solution here for just a few months. DG has never met their announced times during the demand aggregation. It will take at least 1 year, rather 2 years, longer. If you rely on the internet, I would therefore still get the Telekom connection installed.

Unfortunately, I have no knowledge at all regarding technology, wiring, and general possibilities. However, I like to read up on such things because I do not like to rely blindly on any specialists. So thank you in advance for your ideas!

Mainly, my original idea is confirmed... divided and asked very simply for an absolute layman:

1) Internet & Telephone
First, in connection with the other necessary connections (gas, water), have a completely normal (copper?) line installed by Telekom and obtain DSL or the best possible internet there with my existing contract under the new address.

Cost: approx. 800 EUR. Due to the planned construction, I have already secured a "builder credit" of 300 EUR in my current Magenta contract. This results in net connection costs of only 500 EUR.

During the connection work, use the open floor to lay an empty conduit as suggested by the DG in preparation.

2) TV
- Either set up a satellite system, which will be "useless" from the activation of the DG onwards. (To what extent am I contractually bound to anyone here? Or is it really only the one-time costs and then I will also receive private channels?!). I actually have no desire to take out a new large two-year contract anywhere. If DG then goes faster than expected, I would be paying double forever.

- Or DVBT2? Or is that the same as satellite? Sorry, as I said, zero knowledge. In our current rental apartment, a white antenna cable simply comes out of the wall in two rooms and television works with it.
