So in plain terms: He has the least work with it and earns well from it. Just like always, when electricians simply recommend the same thing over and over without individually considering the requirements (I'm just assuming that now). That usually has nothing to do with whether it is the best solution for the customer or in general.

Sure, MyGekko is quite good when it comes to connectivity with third-party providers, but I simply find it extremely ugly and inflexible. In general, I just don’t like proprietary solutions.

Thank you very much for the info. Basically, you have to say that the electrician is a friend of ours and apart from the material, we don't have to pay anything. The reason he recommends it is simply the experience with the system. He won't earn anything from us.

In this setup, I would definitely go for KNX twice.

Friends of the sun, after countless hours of aimless research, I have to ask again here:

“I’m just wondering if I can manage one system where I am online with the "one" app (like with the Welcome), meaning both the TKS and the KNX visualization. I would like to have everything on one system, if possible. The Welcome offers that, which is why the focus has been on it so far, but if I could achieve that with another system (e.g. Gira X1), I would also like to consider it.

What bothers me about the BJ is the feasibility only through its own visualization. What’s the problem? The things are ridiculously expensive at a “reasonable” size, hence the idea of an “open” solution and an iPad.

The electrician refers to the Eisbär, which I still don’t want to have.”

You see, HIS experience, HE makes it easy for himself. Absolutely legitimate if you accept it. But that hardly makes it a particularly good or even the best system.

Didn't we already answer that? With the Gira HS you can map that under ONE interface, soon also with Youvi, Basalte Home would also be an option. Nothing else offers you that under a single interface. What do you have against the Eisbär? Too expensive? Then it also gets tight with the HS or other professional solutions. Otherwise, you could certainly tinker something with ioBroker.

I don't want the BEST system. I want one that suffices for me and my family. I don't have time to familiarize myself with the subject of KNX. To program something for every little change or call a friend for it. There are many pros and cons for it. Decisive for MyGekko: Connectivity to many manufacturers
