Well, I am trying to be a bit more precise: - Currently planned is to implement the visualization via BJ (Welcome) Why BJ? I wanted a system that gives me guardrails which I as a "layperson" can operate, tailored to a single-family house. The electrician recommended the Eisbär, but I felt quite lost there. Requirement - BJ server runs both as a doorbell and as or with KNX server - A visualization is planned on every floor and the wiring is also laid accordingly - Now I wonder if we can create an option where, for example, we take the Gira X1 (which according to my observation/research is one of the best KNX servers) and this can represent both the system and the doorbell system. - The goal: Visualization via tablets on the wall which at the same time serve as the doorbell system since we do not want to have too many devices lying around - Therefore the question: X1 as server and what could be used as a doorbell system? Or am I off track with the X1?

With the TKS you can attach just about anything. Gira is the easiest. Tablet as a doorbell station via the Smarthome app. With Gateway also worldwide. X1 is certainly just as easy or difficult as BJ.

Watch out! Don’t confuse Welcome with free@home!

For video doorbell you need the mentioned Gira TKS with IP gateway and ideally a Gira doorbell system (I won’t go into the quality of the video image here). This then calls either a G1 (if you had one) or via the TKS app on your iPads. In general, X1 and TKS don’t have much to do with each other initially. Video doorbell also doesn’t work within the X1 visualization on the iPad with TKS! So you have two different apps for visualization and TKS on the iPad. Personally, I don’t like that, but it works.

My 2 cents on the X1: It’s nice, but far from the “best” and partly significantly limited. However, that should not be a problem given your requirements.

No. I am talking about the Welcome system.
That is a TKS with video which at the same time provides the visualization for KNX.

I am just wondering if I can get one system where I am online with the "one" app (like with Welcome), meaning both the TKS and the KNX visualization. I would like everything on one system, if possible.
Welcome offers that, so the focus has been on this so far, but if I could achieve this with another system (e.g. Gira X1) I would also like to consider it.

What bothers me about the BJ is the feasibility only via its own visualization.
What is the problem? The devices are damn expensive at a "reasonable" size, hence the idea of an "open" solution and an iPad.

Electrician refers to the Eisbär, which I still do not want to have.
