This means nothing more and nothing less than that you have perfected your self-programming to manifest your prejudice - it goes: "Plots are available everywhere, just not where I want to find one." The efficiency excuse against a lower scanning speed does not eliminate the causal connection - and it is not meant to: "my search is fruitless, but it’s not my fault" is more important to you than finding a plot. Some people searching for plots remind me of child-wish-driven self-rushed individuals who get deeper and deeper into frustration through efficient but unsuccessful timed intercourse. Hay-wagon-little! As long as you still thank sincerely, there are worse things than being accused of getting roasted for your help :)

I would have located the search area here more in the triangle of Halle Westf, Hövelhof and Rheda-Wiedenbrück – so much larger. If you are so limited, then you have basically already answered the question yourself. Realistically, regarding the necessary land area, you can only look between Sennestadt and Schloss Holte-Stukenbrock or Kaunitz. Everything else is already over €300 per square meter at BRW – the actual prices then fall outside the budget, especially if you want a single-story and possibly even barrier-free build.

The three villages should now be persistently walked through and you need to check the protocols of the city development committees so that you can approach brokers or investors early on when new development areas are being developed.

Also contact all brokers in the villages/districts and have yourself placed on the interest lists. You will get much better offers there than what you see on the internet.

Ah 11ant, then the misunderstanding this time must be on your side. Nowhere have I claimed that we limit ourselves to exploratory drives in our search. That I can’t avoid personal contact on site when there are interesting properties is perfectly clear to me. We are still at the very beginning of our search, and prejudices certainly haven’t manifested in me yet. We quickly realized that the real estate portals are suboptimal for our search, that's why I registered here and started this thread to get tips on how to approach it better. I have now learned that our previous approach doesn’t work. We have to leave our comfort zone and make contact, that much is clear. But after X posts, I still don’t understand why one shouldn’t narrow down the "on-foot exploration radius" in advance by an exploratory drive.

I’m certainly not here to indulge in self-pity and look for confirmation; that wouldn’t help the search much either. I’m here to find ideas, and you and the other participants have contributed quite a bit of input. Much of it still needs to be processed first. The first step is the attempt to secure a spot in the new development area in Kaunitz. The lottery procedure is already the week after next, possibly that will be our lucky break. And if that doesn’t work, we will seek contacts in the areas that interest us. For that, however, several exploratory drives by car will surely be necessary to find the corners where it’s worthwhile.

Real estate portals are, to put it simply, over-30 parties for houses. Because you overlook more than you get an overview of where you should connect.

Ok, are you seriously trying to tell me that a walk in any random unfamiliar area, which you haven’t checked out beforehand, is more likely to lead to success than a walk in an unfamiliar area you chose because you previously drove through it by car and saw interesting objects and residential neighborhoods? Do you now see why I feel deceived?

Let your partner read my posts - I just notice that you apparently misunderstand me at the same point every time.
