That means nothing more and nothing less than that you have perfected your self-programming to manifest your prejudice – it goes: "There are plots everywhere, just not where I want to find one." The efficiency excuse against a lower scanning speed does not eliminate the causal connection – and it is not meant to: "My search is fruitless, but that is not my fault" is more important to you than finding a plot. Some plot seekers remind me of people desperately wanting children, who ride themselves deeper into frustration with efficient but unsuccessful ovulation sex. Hay-wagon!
Ah 11ant, then the misunderstanding this time must be on your side. Nowhere have I claimed that we limit ourselves to exploratory drives in our search. That I can’t avoid personal contact on site when there are interesting properties is perfectly clear to me. We are still at the very beginning of our search, and prejudices certainly haven’t manifested in me yet. We quickly realized that the real estate portals are suboptimal for our search, that's why I registered here and started this thread to get tips on how to approach it better. I have now learned that our previous approach doesn’t work. We have to leave our comfort zone and make contact, that much is clear. But after X posts, I still don’t understand why one shouldn’t narrow down the "on-foot exploration radius" in advance by an exploratory drive.
I’m certainly not here to indulge in self-pity and look for confirmation; that wouldn’t help the search much either. I’m here to find ideas, and you and the other participants have contributed quite a bit of input. Much of it still needs to be processed first. The first step is the attempt to secure a spot in the new development area in Kaunitz. The lottery procedure is already the week after next, possibly that will be our lucky break. And if that doesn’t work, we will seek contacts in the areas that interest us. For that, however, several exploratory drives by car will surely be necessary to find the corners where it’s worthwhile.
