The kitchen has to please YOU, not the people here. And everyone has different tastes. I like your design better than the original. It is open and lively. I don't like these complete walls that are currently trendy. And with your view, it would really be a shame to hang cabinets there.

But that was not the question of the OP. If you sugarcoat all the logical errors, many questions here become unnecessary. You are not doing the OP any favors with the "if you like it." So if the view in the east is so great that you want to enjoy it, then the solution is not to place bar stools 3 meters away to then catch a glimpse of the view between (what was it?) the Sodastream and the kettle, but to place the seating window there. (In the south for the kids it’s totally over anyway.) Maybe you can suggest to the planner to have the seating window in the east, a small window above the kitchen sink in the south… then maybe (I don’t have time to sketch it out now) a practical and well-functioning kitchen will result that will also appeal to you.

The floor plan has actually been finished for months if you look at the corresponding post.
Don’t you look out of any window from 3 meters away inside the house? I still enjoy (even after 2 years) the view through our large windows into the garden when I stand at the worktop and work there. When I work at home, I don’t just stare at the worktop. Take a look at Kati1337, there is also this wonderful large window at the sink with a beautiful view.
I encourage the TE to think through HIS workflows and habits in order to decide then.

And now the original poster wants to discuss the kitchen.
The original poster is asking, among other things, for suggestions for improvement, not about taste or who likes it or not.

Then you give options, thoughts, and suggestions that the original poster will probably consider rather than someone who is not in their situation or cannot or does not want to put themselves in others’ shoes.

Of course! But I don’t sit on the most uncomfortable furniture in the history of the world for that ;) That’s why my suggestion is to consider a seating window in the east. See #26

Currently still a rather poor example ;)
Comparing a white tall neighboring house with meadows.. ;) But I am confident about Kati, when the garden is done… but that has less to do with the kitchen planning here.

The kitchen window in our current apartment is actually the "most used" for us, despite a somewhat bleak view and significantly smaller size. I think the habits are just different there.

We had also considered placing the seating window on that side. In the middle it would be inconvenient, as it would disrupt the work processes too much. So better on the sides. There we could set the window recess flush with the adjacent wall, which would relatively easily create more of a "backrest." Placed on the left, with the kitchen on the right next to it and around the corner (as you intended), the interaction with the kitchen would probably work best. But then the window is quite far from the island, dining table, and a bit pushed into the "furthest corner" of the open-plan room. If we place the seating window on the right, it works better by itself (view, sightlines). However, then the kitchen is "further away" and possibly less practical. These considerations have so far prevented us from putting the seating window on the east side.
But we will talk to the planner about it again.

So, it is not supposed to replace the kitchen window. You could plan that one in the south.
The utility room door is placed there? There is no alternative?
