Not yet, we have had the plans since Friday and have been playing around with them over the weekend. That is the next step.
Personally, I find it easier to "overlook" asymmetry, but the opinion for more visual calmness here in the forum is unanimous. We'll see if we can find a compromise.
So far, we are not quite comfortable with the tall cabinets above the window - despite the nicer look. If they are at a reasonably reachable height (bottom edge <170cm), the window glass minus the window tape + frame goes up to max. 160cm. That means I have a beam directly in front of my eyes and see diagonally down into the greenery. For the horizon or a bit of sky, I would then have to bend down. I would find that a pity. Even though it looks supposedly great in the pretty graphic and in the pictures online (thanks !), I think it would bother us. If we make the windows larger, the upper cabinets shift up to 200cm+. Then I can still open the door and reach something at the front edge, but not more without a stool.
The kitchen has to please YOU, not the people here. And everyone has different tastes. I like your design better than the original. It is open and lively. I don't like these complete walls that are currently trendy. And with your view, it would really be a shame to hang cabinets there.
