And elements that are not made of glass have to be cleaned just the same. The glass is actually the upgrade; no glass would be more of a downgrade.
Glass gets noticeably "more visible" dirty with dust, fingerprints, etc. than no glass. I have never had to clean the side panels of my previous kitchen because I was "disgusted" by their condition. Our glass doors, on the other hand, more often, since the dust eventually becomes visible through completely normal "human activity" in the house. And I fear the same for the kitchen, although the cupboards are mostly closed, they are constantly emptied and refilled through regular use. Especially in the drawers with food, I can well imagine that the glass elements get pretty dirty quickly.
No experience, because I don’t see why I should pay extra for glass side panels of drawers. If they are already included, then fine – otherwise a) you can’t see them and b) the cleaning doesn’t matter either, since a) applies.
I think you’re confusing something, that’s not how I wrote it. Glass = standard. Closed = change request = extra charge. You do see them – when you open the drawers :-D
