Your humor doesn’t have to feel triggered, that was and is really not my intention. :-(
I wouldn’t know that I ever said I had already decided that for myself – that is not the case. No decision has yet emerged from the evaluation of the matter.* Presumably, it’s just being misinterpreted? Doesn’t matter, that’s not the core of the issue.
*Edit at this point:
I should have correctly written “potential potential” in my last post instead of just potential.

It’s about 1,000€ additional costs for the closed variant, which is why I definitely see a justification to talk about it. I started the thread hoping someone has already had similar experiences and can report how it went for them afterwards with their decision (for or against). I just want to avoid having spent 25k on a kitchen and then regretting not having possibly added another 1k afterwards. Of course, unnecessarily spending 1k doesn’t have to happen either, that’s how the thread came about. Saying “just do it” across the board is in this case just as thoughtless as driving a new car straight from delivery to the detailer next door.
A few helpful suggestions were already included among the posts, for which I am very grateful – and everyone who will dig up the thread via search in the future probably will be, too.

Wishing you a sunny Thursday!

I have had these side glass inserts for 10 years. Why should I clean them? My dishes are clean when they are stored in the drawers, my groceries that I buy in the store are in some kind of packaging, and raw meat/fish goes into my fridge. Therefore, what am I supposed to clean on the sides? They look the same today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow.

If I wanted it "posher," I would take the more modern Legraboxes, especially if I wanted to buy a kitchen with a handleless profile.

We had a Häcker kitchen with satin glass inserts in the drawers. I really seldom wiped them, it just wasn't necessary. For the new house, there is a Leicht kitchen. The drawers there have clear glass on the sides. I think it visually enhances the kitchen and I wouldn't want to do without it. Please don't worry about cleaning it. If something gets dirty, just wipe it with a cloth and that's it. The parts aren't that big anyway.

Thank you all for the insightful feedback. That convinced us, so we will keep the glass elements and have the kitchen equipped with them.
