I even claim that the countertop doesn’t even have a marginal advantage. But the countertop is simply cool – both in appearance and also in touch not comparable. The only advantage could be the better durability. For ME it is always worth the extra cost (had Silestone, that was about €7k extra, and now black granite – each tactile like textured leather). As an alternative, solid wood, which costs only slightly more than the simple countertop. But it requires more maintenance.

I like that!! That's exactly what I say – if you really want it, don't let anyone talk you out of it – just get it!

But I think many don't really know what the real advantages are here and just choose the countertop "because that's how it's done" :D

If you want to save money and don't put ultra priority on the aforementioned things, you should certainly also take a look at the other countertops.

@no offense to OP: but you should definitely check whether you have a quality kitchen (fronts, appliances, drawers, rails, etc.) before blowing all the money on the countertop :) Just a tip! :D

Quartz stone. We've had it for over 6 years and it still looks new. The surface is more resistant to stains.

This proves to be extremely effective for us. Additionally, very small cookware is also detected and heated optimally, such as a de Buyer Blini pan.

Take the biggest devices with full equipment. The margin at kitchen studios increases with the functions. It provides a good basis for negotiation. In the end, the surcharge is nowhere near as high as the list price suggests.
Home Connect helps to find out when something is finished or to set something remotely in advance. I have it installed but wouldn’t miss it.

What is “a lot of money” always depends on one’s own wallet and the ratio to it. I find it appropriate to spend €2,000 for a genuine, lasting joy, as long as you don’t have to starve afterward in a nice kitchen.

It's useful and faster than scrolling through the menus until you find something suitable, and yes, it constantly notifies you if something is wrong or if the roast needs to be turned, etc.

Is granite the "best" choice for a countertop?

It is most important to us that the countertop is durable, robust, scratch-resistant, resistant, easy to care for, and hygienic.

What would you say is better, granite or ceramic? Or maybe something else?
