Unfortunately, I have no experience, but for me I have decided that I would like it, but do not need it and certainly do not want to pay for it (unless Black Friday brings a deal).
I find this answer sympathic, so I take it as a source:
I am surprised by some answers. Because: granite is not just granite. There are different qualities that differ in price and appearance. There is the cheaper one, which you already know from the black-and-white kitchens of the 80s, but also much more delicate structures that look a bit more high-quality and cost correspondingly more. In addition, mass-produced Chinese goods are always offered quite cheaply, but do not have the quality one expects from "granite." This was also said in #3.
Otherwise: granite is a natural product... I have it as a windowsill and would not recommend it in a kitchen. Acids and alkalis retain their memory.
