Dear Sösschenschäumer on islands, you have already understood that. Written by the used tablet obtained via Ebay fraud. Now cook nicely. Karsten

This example interests me a lot, as it is very close to our kitchen (to be purchased on 12/29).
What would be great is, what is the measurement from the end of the cooking island to the wall behind the dining table, in other words, how much space is available there?
I would like to compare that with our room layout.

Best regards,

Jan

It is exactly 320cm. Between the table and the wall, there are 90cm. Everything is very comfortable, but it shouldn’t be much less space.

Thanks a lot for the info, although there isn’t much room for maneuver, it’s always good to get opinions on our space layout.
Behind the dining table there would be a glass front instead of a wall, but the measurement to the kitchen island is currently "only" 279 cm.
It shouldn’t be less than 120 cm from the kitchen island to the opposite kitchen wall either.

On the contrary.

I would rather say that there should not be more than 1.20 between the island and the row. Anything else becomes unergonomic and leads to longer walking distances...
