Is energy storage also unprofitable for electric cars? Costs of wallbox + storage

For lithium-ion batteries (and to my knowledge, these are installed in series in electric cars nowadays) - assuming an appropriately intelligent control system - a medium charge level is even optimal. So always between 20 and 80%. Always draining completely and fully charging is bad for wear and tear.

Take a look at the new SMA Wallbox if you have the photovoltaic system installed with SMA equipment. This Wallbox charges automatically and variably with only the generated photovoltaic power, if desired.

1,300 EUR for the SMA EV Charger Wallbox



Right? What makes it so expensive? I thought you can get a Wallbox from 500 EUR.

Actually, you can easily retrofit something like this in a few months/years, right? What do you have to consider so that it is easy to retrofit?

The ones for 500 are not photovoltaic capable. Since very few charge with or have photovoltaic systems.

As already mentioned, batteries prefer to be charged often and between 20 and 80 percent.

My e-UP needs about 12 kWh per 100 km. You can recharge your daily distance in 1 to 2 hours. So you don’t need storage.

And I can tell you, nothing is as much fun as driving an electric car, every time I have to take our combustion engine I notice it again anew.
