Is energy storage also unprofitable for electric cars? Costs of wallbox + storage

Yes, no one understands politics in this respect (as unfortunately is the case with many other things, completely missing the point for the citizens).

Is there actually still a decision pending regarding this? The 52 GW cap was officially lifted just a few months ago. Are the photovoltaic supporters still waiting for something?

Next year the tax on self-consumption is supposed to be abolished, right? Anything else?

Is the often recommended LAN cable actually mandatory? It no longer fit through the empty conduit for us, and a subsequent drilling somehow didn’t seem reasonable to me. Can essential disadvantages arise from this? I would then have to try my luck with a repeater

The question is how much is controlled prospectively via the wallbox and how much via the car. I just recently got a plug-in hybrid as a company car. There I can control charging, climate control, and departure times directly via the car through the app.

You need this 99% of the time. You can always control everything via the car. But usually, you don’t actually control anything there. It is set once and done. Besides, [WLAN] usually works too.

In my opinion, it only becomes interesting when you have 2 electric cars and cannot charge them simultaneously, or when in the future electricity no longer has a fixed price but can be charged cheaply during surplus phases, or when the sun is shining directly on your own photovoltaic system, or when the car serves as an in-house storage. Then the current control system in the car will probably no longer be sufficient.

However, there is still a lot of futuristic stuff involved, and by then the next or even the one after next generation of WLAN will probably exist, and the control logic will also continue to develop.
