Is a gas boiler possible without solar?

, maybe your initial question was somewhat unclearly formulated. I just read it again, and to me it sounds like: "I have the ST included in the building application and just want to leave it out. What could happen to me?"

And that is different from what you are asking now...

If you want to leave out the ST but still want to remain legally compliant (i.e. comply with the Energy Saving Ordinance), you should first run the house through the calculation without the ST (or have it done). Then you will know where you stand. And then the person who did the calculation will hopefully be able to tell you which levers (insulation, windows, controlled residential ventilation) you need to adjust to reach this 85% rule, according to which you can then omit the ST in case of gas heating. And then you will probably still have to submit an addendum to the building application because quite a few things will change.

I am currently going through the same procedure. Whether it is still worthwhile after possibly having to spend money on new Energy Saving Ordinance calculations and amendments to the building application remains to be seen.

Since you want to build monolithically with 36.5 cm Poroton, that could be pretty tight. Even with a T8 Poroton you only get a U-value of 0.21. Whether that is enough?

I am currently having it calculated with a U 0.16 wall construction and 0.5 windows. Let’s see what comes out. I hope I can make it with some additional insulation on the upper floor ceiling.

Best regards,

Andreas

By the way, the shell is already standing. The windows are also already in. Triple glazed with a U-value of 0.89. We have plenty of insulation. Upper floor ceilings and also the entire attic. I probably just need to have my architect run the calculations again.

Oh, the shell is already standing? Then you can probably save yourself the consideration of using a different brick... Now planning for a controlled residential ventilation is also out of the question... Which brick did you use? Then you can basically only hope that it’s enough, and if not, still build the ST on the roof. Let me know what the calculation came up with. Best regards, Andreas

Yes, it's already in place... so the interventions are manageable

You've already written 36er Poroton. But which one:

T8; T9; T10 ??

Due to a like on my post, I want to point out that this post should be understood completely ironically. For me, even the question of fraud arises, since I also understand it to mean that the construction was only approved because of the planned solar thermal system, as it seems to be the only thing that allows building the house compliant with the energy saving ordinance.
