I confirm!

We have Poroton T9 17.5 cm with 16 cm ETICS. We can hear the neighbors talking when they are in the garden, as if they were in the next room.
And inside (17.5 + 11.5 cm Poroton) you can also hear everything across floors. The absolute worst.

The 42.5cm doesn’t help... not even for the noise... I don’t understand that around here really 95% of buildings are constructed like that... I wouldn’t take the unfilled bricks anymore either... we thought about it for a long time, everyone we asked said that filled bricks wouldn’t be necessary here in the countryside... no street etc.

In the next house, I won’t do anything else than filled bricks, concrete ceiling, and soundproof windows... I wish better advice would be given...

We were at a local glazier and asked for different glasses for our windows... he has been doing this for 50 years... he asked us why we wanted new glasses for new windows... we said: they only have 32 dB... he said: that can’t be, it’s triple glazing... after a phone call with his manufacturer, he unfortunately had to admit that we are right....

The thermal optimization affects both the bricks and the windows and unfortunately has a negative effect on the sound problem...
As a builder, you think you take the best thermal insulation bricks and the best triple-glazed windows and everything will be fine...

That's the problem, no one wants to admit it... Even some DIN standards are only for single-family homes and they are so lax. Our prefabricated house looks good from the outside, but inside it's actually a disaster. We have a hearing-impaired person if we ever rent it out to someone external. And our walls are double-clad with wood and drywall, the doors are high-quality Grauthoff made of chipboard. My next house, if I ever build one, which I don't believe, will either be made of sand-lime brick with ETICS or concrete. And ETICS is not bad if basic things are observed during plastering. We have a Massa house in the neighborhood, which already has algae after 5 years that others do not.

And what noise bothers you then? I am someone who, before controlled residential ventilation times, quite often had the window tilted, and there were roads, playgrounds, etc. It’s all a matter of sensitivity.

When you write "filled," do you mean perlite or mineral wool? When I look at the technical data of the perlite-filled 42.5cm bricks (T7/T8), the sound insulation value is not exactly impressive. The mineral wool ones look better, but not significantly above a 24cm T14/T18 that is not filled. Isn’t this value the decisive one, or what else is supposed to create the "significant" difference?
