Yvonne, what problem do you have?

if I comply with the Energy Saving Ordinance through enhanced insulation practices and can therefore do without the st... where is the fraud?

just as when the architect draws the structure for me and the building authority approves it... where is the fraud?

have installed t 10

T 10? I think you can immediately stop considering whether you can legally get rid of the ST. With a 36 cm wall, you are at a U-value of about 0.25. I can't imagine how you could arrive at the 85% rule there.

A planned "normal" pellet stove probably does not play a role in the calculation, right? It is not water-based...

Phew, now you’re seriously overestimating my knowledge of the Energy Saving Ordinance. I’ve only skimmed the calculation rules. I remember that a stove does count in the calculation because it’s assumed that it’s used. (and thus throws a lot of dirt and fine dust into the air. But that’s "good" dirt, unlike the almost completely pollutant-free exhaust gases of a gas heating system. That is by definition "bad" dirt.... Lord, send some brains from heaven). I think whether it has a water jacket or not makes no difference. But all of this is just guessing. Your Energy Saving Ordinance person has to do the calculations; there’s no estimating on the fly. I can’t imagine you somehow get to 85% with a wall that has a 0.25 U-value, but who knows? Calculations are in order! Regards, Andreas

As far as I remember, you do not mention increased insulation possibilities at all, but rather talk about increased costs that you are not willing to pay and hope that no one checks.

My two cents: a pre-installation for a retrofit plus current insulation, which compensates the required 15%, is even more expensive than installing a solar thermal system right away.

The information presented here in pieces brings no clarity. Have someone calculate it and provide them with all the information. Then have a consultation about the different possibilities. That will probably cost money, but at least you will know what is necessary and what is possible.
