It's best to think very carefully about how the unit will actually be installed and how everything fits together.
With us, there was nasty chaos with the siphon and the reinforcing strut on the back, which unfortunately is exactly where the water connections and the drain are.

I already thought that the installation wouldn't be quite simple. The "specification" of the two siphons results automatically according to the plumbing plan (distance between the two washbasins). We have already marked this on the construction site.

Is there anything I can still change on the construction site right now that would make things easier for me later?

I just find the prices unbeatable... I think that also serves its purpose!

Yes, there's not much to do about the price. For us now, just over 2.4m of real wood panel for under 500€. The general contractor wanted to charge us 800€ for a base cabinet without a countertop or anything like that. And the quality wouldn't have been any different either.

Take a look at 40mm multiplex boards, e.g., in birch or maple. We've used those here again and like them very much; you can oil them in any color you want. You can get them at the lumber dealer as sheet goods, where you can have the suitable pieces cut out for you. Depending on the situation, I would also consider putting a stylish steel runner on one side; those are available for €50-70. In my opinion, that looks nice and makes setup much easier. You can then, for example, simply screw the Godmorgen onto the board underneath, just like we did three days ago, totally easy. For that, you need a space-saving siphon, available at the hardware store where the heating technician shops. However, Ikea sinks apparently have different drain dimensions and also look somewhat awkward, so we don’t use Ikea sinks; then the push closure fits as well.

May I ask where you all got your countertops from and which material you chose?

Are there also materials with a wood look that are suitable for the bathroom?

My oak board is from a wood specialist retailer. However, you can also buy glued wood boards from the hardware store. The bigger problem is rather the surface. I have sanded mine multiple times and treated it with Osmo Topoil. However, water must not be allowed to stand, otherwise there will be water stains. You could also varnish it, which is more difficult to apply, and if the varnish is damaged and water penetrates, you have a bigger problem. With oiled surfaces, you can also do partial repairs.

There are online stores that cut great countertops with very good and durable CPL to size and are cheaper than the hardware store. They also often have a larger selection of designs. Just try googling.
