I still have a few questions about the procedure, which I currently find a bit more difficult to imagine:
We currently have 2 individual wall-mounted countertop washbasins.
Our already 2 individual pre-assembled Godmorgon vanity cabinets are already underneath, open :D
We would like a continuous approximately 160cm wide countertop above - of course, everything should then be mounted on the wall and flush with the washbasins.
So:
1. Precise measuring of the basin cutout is important in order to cut the countertop accordingly (2 cutouts for the washbasins).
2. If the countertop is not attached to the wall with brackets (which I actually do not want to do, because I would prefer to screw the countertop only to the vanity cabinets), how should I best proceed?
--> Mount the countertop directly on the vanity and lift everything flush with the washbasin, mark the drill holes and then attach it at the end?
--> Sounds like a 4-person effort to me?
It is certainly easier with a mounting of the countertop on the wall with brackets and subsequent installation of the individual vanity cabinets on the wall (we do not want to do that, because we already have to drill enough holes in porcelain stoneware... the fewer the better/easier).
Am I missing something here? How did you proceed in this regard?
Why should the basin be cut out of the countertop at all, or why should it be made so precisely? The washbasin “sits” on top of the countertop - thus I would basically only have to ensure that there is enough space for the siphon. >Ultimately, I do not have to inset the washbasin into the countertop, do I? Do I even need a cutout for the basins?
