unfortunately no manual was included (kind of strange?!) and I apparently found an older version online. There was no designation on it but on the Ikea site it is actually noted. Hmm the accessories cost almost as much again as the hood itself. I probably would have done it differently if I had known that right away.

... to reassure you - as far as I know, with all hoods you have to buy the accessories separately. We have a similar hood from Bosch, and it doesn't even come with the front panel as standard because there are several variants for it ....

With the electrical appliances and countertops, Ikea makes the money in kitchen sales. That is probably also why the policy is to build everything in such a way that it is not compatible with third-party appliances or other countertops in standard dimensions without craftsmanship skills.

I would also place the stove on a Utrusta base, as the air circulation is ensured there through the vents in the back. In addition, the Utrusta bases have a different height. With the normal shelf bases, the shelves are placed on the shelf pin, but not with the Utrusta base. Therefore, the top edge of the shelf and the top edge of the Utrusta base should actually have different measurements regarding the hole you choose for fastening.

For that price, you only get sources of noise, but no proper extractor hood.
