We pay an installment of 2200 with about 5300 net income. For us, it is absolutely worth it; seeing the children happily playing in their own garden is priceless to me... We are happy, sleep well, and hardly have to give up anything, and we live where others go on vacation. Currently, we have a reserve of about 4 salaries, with an upward trend, because all important expenses have been made (garage & outdoor facilities were included in the house price). Right now, I am on a camping vacation, which is relatively inexpensive, and the children find it fantastic... I think everyone has to decide for themselves how much burden they can handle but also how much space they allow the corresponding worries.

Don’t come here with social aspects. You, who can win something from every bad financing and make everything possible. Commission in the background, the social aspect for the customer secondary. Ridiculous

I personally also know one or two wealthy people. One was self-employed and a millionaire, the other is also self-employed. The one unfortunately passed away recently.

What they have in common: they really work their asses off. They earned their money the hard way. But I am not jealous. Because (personally experienced) constant availability must also be ensured on vacation.

I’d rather have a significantly smaller, secure income and my personal luxury: free time. Because time usually can’t be bought.

On the topic: currently almost nothing. We were stupidly separated from our vehicles by TÜV and an accident. The money went on that. But in two weeks, money is coming again. So what?

If everyone only saves, the economy will crash. Consumption of goods and services is important for prosperity.

We have a combined net income of about 4,200 (29 and 33 years old) and save about 1800-1900€ monthly. Additionally, we pay 475€ cold rent. Our equity currently amounts to about 120-130K€ plus Bavarian home ownership subsidy (10,000€). We still go on vacation though.

Oh dear, now I almost feel guilty

Similar net income, but the installment is less than half of yours o.O with special repayments we come to 1,300 a month.
We do make a plus every year though, that goes into stocks. But you invest almost 11,000 more per year into the house. Respect, I don’t think we could manage that.
