Are you perhaps referring to the statutory right of withdrawal? That would be something different. Waiving it so that things can get started, I believe, is not uncommon. Did you have any alternative offers, so that a withdrawal might make sense? What you've told us so far sounds a bit vague to me. Although we don't know many details either. Maybe you can shed some light on that for us.

Unfortunately, only drainage was factored in for the basement, which unfortunately, according to the soil report, doesn’t work... Unfortunately, we can’t repaint the basement anymore because otherwise we’d have to start everything over. Yes, storing the soil on the property would still be an idea. Best regards

A basement with drainage should not be built in my opinion anyway. A basement always requires waterproofing. Or a white tank. Which, however, is even more expensive. What exactly does the offer say about that?

Yes, sorry, I meant the right of withdrawal. So, the price includes quite a bit except for ancillary building costs like soil disposal, etc. We also had alternative offers from Massa Haus and Heinz von Heiden but both were more expensive.

You really planned to simply dig a basement into the earth without waterproofing or anything else and just wanted to lay drainage around it? If that was really intended, you urgently need someone to advise you. I can't imagine that the builder was not aware beforehand that this would not work.

The price would have included the normal waterproofing and drainage, and now we need a black or white tank.
