I would prefer grown soil.

Me too. In addition, when calculating, the work areas and slopes must also be taken into account; a 10x10m house quickly becomes much more than the 300 cubic meters. You should also not forget the excavation for the cistern, driveway, and terrace. Then add a surcharge for the loosely dumped soil, and at 56€ per cubic meter (gross or net?), you quickly exceed 30k even though the estimate says 20k.

I thought it was only about the material to be disposed of. ;)

I have now lost track a bit of whether the soil has already been described in more detail, but with [weißer Wanne] they certainly have clay soil. You cannot reuse and compact that.

I am always amazed here. A foundation is never made on the soil you find anyway, right? You always dig to a certain depth, pour in gravel or sand, and then compact it. What sense would it make to throw the excavation back into the construction pit? Aside from the fact that you don’t achieve a defined grain size with it... why do you dig it out at all then?

The excavation must either be used to fill terrain or it must be removed.

By the way, it can sometimes be cheaper. Large trucks often drive around here asking if you still need this or that pile of earth. They apparently load it up and sell it privately for a low price... bypassing landfills, etc. But I think that only works in larger new development areas where digging and filling goes on for years.

Workspace. Regularly only necessary in cellars or basements built into a slope. Sand could be filled back in. Clay or contaminated soil, however, not.
