How do you assess this house? How much budget will be necessary?

Well then you can really wait somewhat calmly for something suitable. Four years ago, after we also initially didn’t get our house, we told ourselves that it is not without alternatives and that we would keep looking until something suitable comes up. In the end, we did get it and are very glad about it today. There was another house almost as good, but nothing since then. Although, of course, we have only been watching the market a little out of curiosity since then.

The house had meanwhile disappeared from the platform and we heard that it was sold or that the notary appointment is pending.

Since yesterday it has been listed again... this time through an agent.

The listing now also contains significantly more information than before, including, as was often suspected here, that there had been an extension.

However, the whole thing was additionally listed by the agent as a "Baugrundstück mit Abrisshaus."

This is all very, very strange and therefore we are definitively staying away from it.

but isn’t that exactly what you are looking for? A plot in a good location to build on. Or am I confusing this with another thread where it said "we would rather build, but there are no plots".

The demolition costs money, but you save on the new infrastructure – as in new residential areas.

I think they are rather suspicious now because, within a few days, a salvageable old building on leasehold suddenly became a demolition house on building land...

Then I would simply check whether there is still room price-wise to meet your expectations? The sale seems to have failed for some reason. For those who assume the worst: possibly because of the illegal or improperly executed extension?

Now it definitely seems to be a demolition plot, which opens up new negotiation options. If you are still interested in the plot, I would simply check whether you can come to a price range that is interesting for you, including demolition and new construction. Nothing worse can happen than that your offer will be too low. Of course, make sure to cover yourself as well as possible, if necessary with an expert.

I think a building plot of this size and location plus a new building will simply be too expensive, even if it is now actually supposed to be such a plot [which would also make me suspicious].
