You don't want the postman to always come onto your property, do you?

I didn’t know it is allowed to place your private mailbox on public land. It wouldn’t work here anyway because our property ends directly at the street without a sidewalk. (see photo) My nice mailbox would get run over pretty quickly. ;-) Nasty, very nasty other drivers. ;-)

As it stands, I will try not to fence our property. I think a fence makes a property look even smaller and more cramped. If it’s not practical, then a fence/hedge will be put on the yet open two sides at the back and the front. (On the right and left, the neighbors have fences, plants, hedges.)

Yep, that used to exist. With KfW-thingamajig, rather not anymore or no longer affordable. Although a fancy mailbox (for the facade) also already costs quite a bit.

With us, a great property, it's about 50m to the gate, and no one is supposed to come up without ringing first.
