The pipe is simply led upwards through the roof; you don’t need a chimney for it. The Geisha was actually a good solution, but its successor supposedly has a slightly lower annual performance factor. If I wanted an air-to-water heat pump, I would have liked that one. But I am also considering a brine heat pump because of the size of our property (ring trench collector possible). What is your annual heat consumption?

In 2016, I dealt with this more extensively. If you have more accurate information that they are designed for 15 years, please feel free to share it with us. Stiebel itself officially states 15-20 years. For example, I was just recently at a birthday of acquaintances who bought a house from the 90s, where a heat pump has been running since then, not particularly efficient, but it runs. It then shouldn't even exist, since it is older than 20 years. Viessmann speaks of 2 million heating systems in Germany that are older than 25 years. I don't find that particularly many if a gas heating system can easily achieve that. There simply lack reliable figures and long-term experiences to have really more than feelings. Why did you decide on a heat pump if you don’t believe in it? There could have been alternatives like pellets, etc.

I myself am still building. I always refer to my brother's house, which I planned and executed the building services for the year before last. Approximately 7800 kWh/a, which means about €40/month heating costs including hot water. KFW55, 3 persons, controlled residential ventilation 90% including shower drain. What is often forgotten is that the heating demand is higher in the first years due to moisture. A ring trench collector in DIY work can already be worthwhile depending on the standard temperature... The difference to the old Geisha was, calculated, annual performance factor -0.05 I bet the heat pump was designed like a conventional heating system and therefore does not run efficiently...

There are also other similar monoblock heat pumps that are somewhat more expensive and installed by companies.

For example, the piston pump from Grundstück Wärmesysteme. Provided you can negotiate properly...

Apart from that, the Geisha is not a makeshift solution...

By the way, the house in the previous post is 150m²

I compare something like that with the Chinese gas boiler from Shenzhen Industrialpark Heating Solutions. 500,- plus 5.95 shipping, possibly some customs duty may also apply.

If I remember correctly, you are also a fan of Polish windows. So why be so skeptical when it gets even more eastern?

Apart from the fact that most heat pumps also come from regional manufacturers in the Far East. Whether development or production.
