As much as is being discussed here, it really seems to be a kind of "matter of faith"! If there were not so many uncertain variables regarding electricity/gas prices/CO2 tax, the problem would be solvable much faster. I simply fear a significant increase in the cost of a gas boiler because politics wants it that way, and that should not be underestimated (see the topic of electric cars... definitely not a 100% effective future solution, but the government just wants it that way now).
