I have laid out an area with paving slabs and placed a simple gable roof house 290 x 290 (inside 270 x 270) on it. After the first storms with wind force 9, I collected and patched the roofing felt again. In the meantime, I have reinforced the house with additional storm battens, now it will at most fly away as a whole. Next, I will probably buy some angles and partially screw the nailed roof battens, the wind pulls the battens out along with the nails... House 699.00 without floor (19 mm) + approx. 150 euros for squared timber, nail binder plates, carriage bolts, and Remmers wood preservative.

We had our garden shed delivered by the specialist dealer about 10 years ago. It's nothing special now, but the assembly was really easy and every screw fit. Moving it to the new home was quick as well. All boards nicely labeled. ( )

As a base, we used exactly the ground sockets with concrete that you described in the initial post. Steel beams are fitted in these while filling. For leveling, we had very good experience with sandbags placed under the beams while the concrete dries.

On the beams then the substructure and the rest of the shed. The whole thing is ventilated from below and floats freely. Nothing has rotted away there in 10 years. At the front, we put small L-bricks in front and a grass grid for a level entrance.

To make the pipes less visible from the side, they were covered as high as possible. The grass then does the rest. However, you have to add more after a few weeks because it settles – something we have neglected so far.
You can also cover it up if you prefer that. When I am home, I’ll take some photos.

From afar, the old little thing now looks like this:

As said, nothing fancy, but everything inside.
By the way, my alternative Christmas tree grows in front of it and naturally receives power from the shed during Advent.

Well then, I will exceptionally contribute a picture as well.

I built it this year together with my father-in-law, it took 4 days. It is completely self-planned and constructed, the floor plan is also asymmetrical. The facade is Siberian larch, the roof EPDM membrane, the finishing sheet powder-coated.

yo, that looks neat. That's exactly how I imagine it, except that I would like to have 1 page completely made of glass

Yes, I had initially planned with a window as well. My wise father-in-law discouraged me from it. In practice, I don’t miss it either. Enough light comes through the door during daylight and of course, I have proper lighting inside. It naturally also depends on the usage; for me, this is purely a tool shed with a workbench inside, I don’t receive guests there now. A whole side made of glass certainly turns the whole thing into a brutal sauna. Contrary to expectations, the cabin does not heat up significantly, despite the black flat roof.

I have to take a look, I imagined it with a cantilevered roof and stuff. I need to draw everything and think it through first, but otherwise your [von außen] is exactly my style. Can you tell me something about the structure/construction? I want to use it for garden furniture and equipment and stuff like that.
