You can google under Blauleger. If you could then also tick that in the Blaubeine... But for us -corporate identity- bantam chickens are just right. Everything fits. The Blaubeine are too big for us, like all normal chickens, if they are supposed to have really good conditions.

Let's see how suitable they are for our region and the terrain. We need animals suitable for beginners.

Unfortunately, I cannot contribute my own chicken coop, but that of my parents. They have had a chicken meadow at their new house for about 25 years, usually with around 6-7 chickens. I think there used to be a rooster, currently as far as I know not. From experience, be careful when entering chicken houses: there are often mites in abundance that humans do not like. So it is better to wear appropriate clothing. The chickens usually lay enough eggs for 2-3 families :p and my father, at 83, still collects them daily in the morning. The main house and the chicken house are idyllically located by a stream with an adjacent mini nature reserve (compensation area) and a children's playground. The street is a so-called "Spielstrasse." The main house itself is solid wood (log walls). The chicken house is made of larch with real roof tiles.
