You are referring to the second floor plan, right? Yes, the living room is very long and the middle is hardly usable, we don't like that either. WC, yes, is unusual, my wife likes it out of sight and reach from the bathtub. The niche in the bedroom is supposed to be an optimized, more open version of the originally planned small storage room. There is no 1m line with a 1.25m knee wall, the 2m line is drawn [emoji6]

I have a suggestion for the ground floor: Why not put the kitchen where the living area is now. The wall of the office extended down flush according to the plan, living area in the corner and dining in the middle.

(for the second suggestion)

That you have to go through the carport was exactly my concern with the floor plan with the carport at the bottom. In the other one, I even like that the entrance is under the roof of the carport, without being hidden. Of course, we would prefer a larger plot with access from the north, that would be no problem - but that has already been purchased and so far there is no better idea.
Here again with dimensions...

You basically mean swap the kitchen and sofa area? I don’t think that’s bad at all, I’ll have to try it out this evening. Thanks!

Poorly planned are, of course, also floor-to-ceiling windows—crap... still, the alternative is not a cave, but good planning. In the children's room, making the only window suitable for a desk floor-to-ceiling, or doing so little interior planning in advance that in the end Grandma's display cabinet has to be placed in front of the window, is obviously lame. I sat today behind my floor-to-ceiling windows together with my parents and enjoyed the conservatory feeling light while the children played outside in the snow in front of it.
