Installing a light well under the house entrance does indeed not work; however, it is sufficient for a home office: the tax office does not ask for an escape route there, only the BG does (if you have employees). In the plan, it is simply a storage room.

I am not talking about the tax office, but the building authority, which might be interested in escape routes.

Nope, in the building application it is usable space. Whether it is heated or not doesn't bother the building authority.

Sorry, I just quickly cobbled together the basement. A lounge room is not planned there. I only had the office furniture left and just put it down there. The room is actually supposed to become a workshop. The study will be located upstairs for now, as we are currently almost certain to have only one child. An office in the basement would be a temporary emergency solution in case there are more children. Therefore, I would prefer to have only 2 windows on the southeast side/hobby room/slope side in the basement. The laundry room will be connected to the ventilation system; I don't like open windows in the basement, and not much light comes in anyway.

I would never dehumidify a room where laundry is drying solely through a ventilation system, thereby also nicely corroding the telephone distribution terminals.

By the way, there are special mirror systems for light wells to increase the light yield.

So I don’t really see that window ventilation in the basement is much better compared to controlled residential ventilation. Shock ventilation is probably less effective in the basement because there is less draft. Continuous ventilation, which many do in the basement, lets cold air in and causes cold/moist walls. Besides, since many complain about air being too dry with controlled residential ventilation, this would be a great moisture source in the system [emoji1] I might ask for advice again on the related neighbor thread and from the ventilation planner about this, as it’s just a feeling, I don’t really know.
