Hello Sabine,
experiencing 2.67 m was already amazing. It looks great! The only thing is that the additional costs of €6,000 are still a bit high for me at the moment. The windows are also enlarged, and unfortunately, they are made of wood/aluminum. Not an easy decision, but it feels like a sensible investment.

I will reflect on it and then negotiate with my wife.

Best regards
Björn

Is that the surcharge just for the ground floor?

Best regards
Sabine

I would miss some storage space. Okay, you have a basement, but every time you need the vacuum cleaner, for example, you have to go down to the basement? The same applies to all cleaning supplies. I would allow myself a bit of storage space both on the ground floor and on the upper floor.

Thank you for your feedback!

We thought about that at the beginning as well, but a large wardrobe was more important to us. In our current apartment, we use a Pax wardrobe element for storing the vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies. It works, but it’s certainly not optimal. As the husband, I just have to go down to the basement more often.

Just before the building application, I have 3 final questions:

Is a clear room height of 2.39 m in the basement sufficient?

Is the strip window in the stairwell enough to illuminate it?

Do you have an idea what the drawn 4 x 8 m garage will cost us? I was thinking of a precast concrete garage.

Thanks again for your tips!

We are paying around €10,200 for a precast concrete garage from Hundhausen measuring 9x3m. However, this includes a remote control, sectional door, window, etc. With a width of 4m, you probably have to consider that the heavy transport is more complex, as according to our manufacturer the police then have to escort it, and so on.
