Wouldn't it be annoying to have to walk through half the house to get to the kitchen, including parts of the living room, especially when coming directly inside from shopping? On the other hand, the path to the terrace is short if you want to eat outside?

Shopping is done 1 to 3 times a week, certainly once on a larger scale. Kitchen by the terrace/garden ... Children come several times a day and want something to drink, in summer with nice weather you will certainly want to quickly eat outside on the terrace more often in the evenings and similar. And, the path from the front door to the kitchen is not endless ;) .. I find the kitchen perfectly placed.

I like it very much too. Nice floor plan. Since you are not planning a basement, I would think twice about giving up the storage room. I don't think entering the utility room through the bathroom is ideal. You might get in each other's way, especially when the children are older and want to be alone in the bathroom. And as a compromise, is putting the washing machine/dryer in the utility room not an option? Then the bathroom would be nicely spacious.

That is a point I also often criticize. However, I don't find it annoying here: a straight path through the hallway, the living room is not visible or is outside the traffic route.

You should always look at the house as a whole, since every house is full of compromises.
There are no planning defects here such as no space for cabinets, windows too small/few, no storage areas, etc.

What kind of house will this be? What kind of roof will it have?

If the storage room remains, maybe a skylight in the hallway?

I really like it too. Haven't seen such a nice floor plan in a long time. Is it by an architect? Have you thought about the lighting conditions in the hallway upstairs? Perhaps a skylight is an option to bring some light into the darkness. In addition, I would tend to prefer an open staircase, as in my opinion, more light still gets into the upper floor than with a closed one.
