You go directly onto the intended glass panel of the stair railing and cannot go to the right when the door is open.

The planned kitchen is inferior compared to my suggestion. Your wife should see that too. The second kitchen line is absolute nonsense. Who voluntarily stands in a small narrow room without daylight instead of working at the huge kitchen island in the light-flooded room?

That’s OK, but all of this could be solved a bit more stylishly, especially given the large area and character of the house.

I consider that nonsense. The children’s rooms are more than sufficient at 20sqm. I would plan a great play corner or similar in the basement and garden. That means planning a large hobby room for extraordinary toys and then a place in the garden for a bouncy castle, pool, etc.

Yes, I printed it out but I think she will leave it as it is for now, but maybe she will change her mind.

Hmm... that’s always difficult.

Yes, the basement has a room where they will have their "toys," or is the Carrera track my toy?
Yes, the garden is not yet fully planned but a pool is coming and the children will also have several opportunities to let off steam.

Thanks for your answers!

Nothing against your skills, but you killed the chimney. So I see little chance there. Besides, the question is whether you want the kitchen directly next to the chill area or prefer the dining table as a buffer in between.

Where I agree is on the second ceiling for the kids. That might be quite nice for the first 3 weeks. Afterwards it’s forgotten and never interesting again if there’s no comfortable staircase leading up. Since nothing is drawn, that looks like a ladder to me.

In the views, I find variant 1 more "exclusive" or extraordinary. Variant 2 looks like a standard shed roof (cheap). Overall, there seems to be some money available for sophistication in the project.
