Where I agree is with this 2nd ceiling for the children. That might be nice for the first 3 weeks. After that forgotten and never interesting again if no comfortable stairs lead up. Since nothing is drawn, it looks like a ladder to me.

A proper wooden staircase will be installed, it is included in the other draft; in this one we should look at whether it comes on the right or left, which is why it is not drawn in here. Yes, the thing with the 3 weeks can happen but yes, children ......

Kitchen door?

No, that won't look right. The doorways are supposed to have the full height of 2.80m, so they have to live with that. It's fine today too; the staircase going "up" didn't bother us. I think the hood (this time we will work with one in the field) and the ventilation system will regenerate this quickly.

Are you able to stand upright there at all?

Not on the entire level, but at the lowest point, according to the first calculation, it is 1.30m; then it goes up. As said, it might be intended as a sleeping area or simply a play corner. However, I will also see how it develops during the construction phase since it is to be added later (wood).

The planned kitchen loses out against my suggestion.

Nothing against your skills, but you killed the fireplace.

Without a fireplace, of course nothing can smoke out But that seems like a crazy idea to me anyway: placing the kitchen in a linear arrangement between dining and chilling is, in my eyes, a tangled ignition sequence.

I can't contribute anything regarding whether the children are still interested after 3 weeks that they have a "second level". It doesn't really matter anyway! The house will be very very cool and I hope you can implement all your wishes that way! My favorite is like yours, the one from #46
