If you don’t use the door from the hallway to the kitchen, it becomes even more absurd. You have to stop focusing only on your whirlpool. That’s just playing around and can be a personal gimmick, like others having an aquarium, for example. But the rest of the house is the more important part, and the main living area is ultimately in the living rooms + terrace.

Sorry, the whirlpool reminds me of our sauna. Every time we heated that thing up, something happened. Croup, fever, vomiting, wet bed.

I don’t want it on a balcony, you’re somewhat on display for the neighbors there. I have always enjoyed running from the whirlpool into the house in winter. We also dreamed for a long time of having one in the garden. On weather like today, sitting comfortably in warm water with snowflakes on your face.
It’s reserved for vacation. Another thing that consumes energy and is not used enough.

Thank you! I can concretely imagine this scenario. That might be "annoying" for the children because I see who they bring along. But that is exactly what we like. We want to be able to keep an eye on things.

The door is used, but not as a passage. It is supposed to be like this: I unload groceries from the hallway into the pantry. When cooking, I then fetch them from the kitchen side into the kitchen. "Passing through" from hallway to kitchen should only happen in emergencies. We initially had it so that there was only a pass-through for the groceries. That would have been enough but would have been cumbersome in terms of putting things away. What does the whirlpool have to do with the pantry? The two things do not limit each other at all or am I overlooking something? Every room gets the same attention. For example, we deliberately reduced the size of the dressing room (so that it currently no longer works) so that child 2 gets a room facing southeast and not, as originally planned by the architect, northwest.

Did you go in there with the little ones? How old were they? As far as I know, a sauna is only recommended from 8-10 years old. Regarding the silver platter for the neighbors: We have two apartment buildings to the southwest, about 10 meters high. So everything that happens in our garden can be seen by these neighbors. This is another reason why we prefer the solution with the loggia and the restriction of visibility.

You still have an eye on who they bring along if you check who is coming. But just wait until the kids are teenagers. Then it will annoy you.

No, we go to the sauna with children. But it was like a curse. There was always something.

It was the same before Corona with going out in the evening.

With the 2 doors to the pantry, you take the parking space. Next to the door, you already have steps, so you are very quickly at bending height.
