Thanks! I told the planner again about the whirlpool. He knows, but I also wonder why he didn't include it in the plans. I would find one step okay and tolerable. But that would just be a bigger step over the threshold for me than a real stair step, right? More would be bad.

You have planned it because of the groceries. EDIT: Whirlpool .. have you ever used such a thing more often? I can hardly imagine that it happens more than 3 times a year.

You mean with the shopping, I generally saw it way too tight? I just don’t see myself standing in the kitchen now and saying, damn, that I have to go through the dining and living room to the toilet and can’t go directly through the hallway. That’s why I specifically ask which scenarios you have in mind that you think are missing. Oh sorry, I actually wanted to answer that too. Yes, we like to use those things on vacation. I know they are controversially discussed. But we both also like to take a bath. The roof loggia is actually meant to be a retreat for us parents. What others maybe have in the living room or even separate parent bathrooms, we have there. Our living and dining room will resemble a playroom for the foreseeable future. There has to be space for children’s toys. Not everyone may like that, but for us it belongs. In the long run, a swing will also be installed on the ceiling of the living/dining room.

Do you read all the answers? Do you want to accept answers only from certain users and therefore do not respond to all? Do you block users, e.g. me? Or could it be a coincidence that you only respond to certain responders? You don’t have to explicitly answer everyone, but when several reply on a topic, it is strange if you act as if it is a single opinion. You do yourself no favor.

Hey, sorry, I wanted to reply to that as well. That was definitely not intentional. I then looked for the post when replying but couldn’t find it anymore.
Thanks to you too for your feedback.

As I said: the loggia should belong mostly to the parents as one of the few things in the house. Of course, the kids are allowed in there sometimes. But when I think about the kids wanting to hang out there with friends at some point, I don’t know. We don’t really want that. It should rather be a private area. There is also going to be a pool in the garden, which can be used accordingly (also by guests).
I don’t quite understand the thing about childcare. Sure, with a baby and toddler the usage time is greatly reduced. But that time will pass (faster than you think). Even now it would be quite possible for us to sit there for an hour in the evening when the little one is asleep. Could you please elaborate on your thought regarding supervising the child? Maybe I’m overlooking something.

I have the scenario in mind that you never have peace in the living room. The kids grow older, bring friends over. Even later in the evening, when you might want to sit quietly in front of the TV. But everyone has to go through there if they want to get to the kitchen.
