You always use the shortest way. Just think about the path when you’re lying in your whirlpool and still need wine from the fridge. You come down the stairs and then seriously run through the living room? That’s nonsense. Besides, no additional storage space results from this self-imposed discipline. Nothing. Who says that? Then that’s good. I already had doubts.

We have a swim spa, 6000l, 4.4 x 2.2. It would be too expensive for me for occasional splashing. I am the sole user 5 times a week. We have solar, a heat pump for the thing; without it, it would be much too expensive for me. The chemicals are not cheap either. I don't know if you will have time for it with children. With children, I wanted a pool, but no whirlpool. If the whirlpool is up there, it is probably not meant for the children. In my opinion, whirlpools are hardly used, at first yes, but the interest quickly fades. I use it and bought it for my health (or what is no longer healthy). We change the water once a year.

But it’s no fun anymore when the teenagers organize their own cooking evening and you want to have a cozy TV evening. And you don’t have to constantly keep an eye on the constant friends and guests of your own children either.

The desire to control might work in theory, if you think that you then have the children under control or always keep an eye on the friends. But you should keep in mind that it also works the other way around. The friends control you as the host (or hostess). They don’t allow you to have privacy in your own house. I completely agree with you, Kerstin! But no matter, the house will not be built that way. And hopefully the focus lies on the functionality of the house, instead of sugar-coating negative aspects.

Everything is open here as well. So yes, at a youth party we wouldn’t have any privacy. When the kids come after me, we will set up a cozy second living room under the roof.

That will not happen with us. The children can gladly do that in their own apartments eventually. It was the same for us back then and I already understood that as a child.
