I have a practical question - doesn't a hot tub also need a water connection and a drain connection? And sauna and fitness are also extremely far from the hot tub. None of this makes sense to me. Child 2 into the bathroom, bathroom into the master bedroom, and parents near Child 2 would make more sense to me.

A whirlpool can normally be filled with a garden hose. However, there should be at least a tap nearby. A drain is needed because the chlorine water must not drain away like rainwater. However, most whirlpools have a drain with a hose connection, so every few months you could lay a garden hose from the pool through the rooms into the bathroom.

With our whirlpool on the terrace, we had a drain installed right next to the outlet – constantly laying out the hose would annoy me eventually. And there is a tap next to it.

I would plan it like this - or fitness and utility room on the upper floor.

That may have come across wrong. It is independent of the fact that we didn't have that as children. I always understood that my parents didn't really want it that way. It's their kitchen after all, and according to agreement certain things are surely usual. It always depends a bit on the extent. However, we certainly won't be the parents who regularly allow big parties. For that, we gladly pick up and drive home from the club at night so that no taxi has to be taken.

That should definitely be planned for. I had it on my radar, the architect maybe not...

Thank you for making concrete suggestions. I find that super helpful! I just don’t understand the drawing and the text because you write "or fitness and utility room on the upper floor." According to your drawing, both are already on the upper floor, right? Am I missing something? You were only referring to the location and not the sizes in the plan, right? I’m just asking because the utility room currently only has about 6-8 sqm. The office + fitness wouldn’t fit in there.

If you have done many things right during the time they are children, you probably don't even need that anymore. But I don't want to make this post any longer.
