It was about the fact that you currently have the office and fitness room downstairs. You could move the fitness room upstairs because all the spa stuff is also there. If the fitness room is together with the utility room upstairs, then older children could also use it. Then downstairs would be just the office. Or you move the office upstairs with the fitness room and make only a small washing machine room next to the dressing room.

I understand your point. It was intentionally designed so that fitness and office can be together. Since I often only come to train during breaks at work. If the children want to join sometimes, of course they can. But I see anyway that something would have to be built towards the garage again.

And in your breaks, can't you go up a flight of stairs? Of course, it depends on how intensely you train something. I wouldn't want the workout slump in the office. Since Corona, we have used the guest room as a training room with [Water Rower], treadmill, TRX, and weight bench, and we both use it almost every day. The gym aroma came surprisingly quickly.

Actually, I often have to check the computer in between to see if anything is going on that requires me to intervene. That would be a bit impractical. I have actually been training in the office since 2021 and didn’t have that problem. What exactly do you mean by funk? Maybe I don’t sweat that much. But I also do more strength training than cardio and have rubber mats on the floor. They can be wiped down easily if necessary.

Then it fits, if no one else uses it. In our family, there is no such parent/child boundary. Not that we haven't tried,… but yes, stubborn parents just make stubborn kids. Our eldest loves the rowing machine and the little one now wants a bouldering wall and a basketball hoop. And a skate ramp. Somehow our sports equipment multiplies like rabbits.

Well, I do think that my son would also like to train then. But then he just comes into the office. That's fine like that!
