Hehe, no, the carport will of course stay in the north. Sorry, I didn’t erase that on the mirror. The advantage would be that everything stays as it is, since the house wall and carport end at the same height. Except maybe the windows.

Front view: yes, I think now everyone is definitely confused.
It’s best if you wait for the correct view.

I find the wardrobe interesting. Whether I would like it, I have to think about it first. In any case, these are solid things with storage space even for thick winter coats.

I have to say, in this form it looks quite plausible, although the late west sun might be blocked by the extension. The window on the side of the living room would then of course no longer make sense, since the storage room of the carport would probably be in the way.

In addition, we would have to see how to arrange the dimensions for the office and utility room without changing too much of the rest, as we are actually very satisfied with the room sizes.

maybe the staircase could possibly be integrated a little into the "new" guest room by installing a cabinet adapted to the slope underneath it. then move the door upwards so that this "niche" in the hallway disappears. also integrate cabinets on the hallway side, e.g. shoe cabinets

I also don't really like those bulky "wummis." maybe better to position "normal" cabinets straight against the wall between the utility room and the WC, the wall could then possibly be moved a bit further down on the left and right which would greatly benefit the WC (with 90cm raw construction dimension it is very narrow), maybe make the cabinet a bit narrower so it benefits the WC.
the utility room could then possibly be made a bit narrower, giving the living room a bit more space, and this would also make the passage by the dining table a bit more generous.

sorry for my poor paint skills

Well, these are just starting points for reflection. I find windows under the carport better than none at all. Now one could also start calculating the height of the carport so that the late evening sun shines through the carport into the house. The architect will be happy to hear something like that.

But I’m afraid that a redesign will be necessary for the details. So don’t be alarmed – it will then be about things like the exact position of the stairs or their shape, coat rack differently, etc.

Thanks for your input. We first need to think this through calmly. I find the ideas very interesting!

You are probably right regarding the detailed planning. I can tell from the feedback here that we are already more in the detailed planning phase. Basically, I take away that the floor plan fits in terms of room sizes and dimensions and we don't have to completely overhaul everything, but we should reconsider the arrangement of the terrace and perhaps mirror the house in this context. Thank you!

If I may briefly misuse your approach, Jenny... Now let's properly push the stairs upwards according to the plan. Suddenly we have a large utility room and a huge guest room. Upstairs, the narrow bathroom could be much wider or a gallery – although the pure air space would be lost. Well, as I said, just playing around. Now you can first ponder what you like about it and what not.
