It’s only an example so far, the bed can still be moved.

Here is the property. The house is not exact, it was an old design but roughly fits.

The room height at the end of the staircase is 1.50?

Then move the bed, then you won't be able to reach the wardrobe anymore. Because the room is max. 350 cm wide. Wardrobe with doors approx. 62 to 66 cm, leaving 285 to 290 cm for the bed with a passage on the right and left.

Floor-to-ceiling windows facing the street in the bedroom, dressing room, bathroom, children's room I consider rather impractical and further restrict the available space in the awkwardly shaped rooms.

Is it actually only allowed to build single-story?

.. I thought so too at first .. but the staircase spirals at the top and it could approach the 2m height .. you can't tell 100%. That's why I already said that you shouldn't be too tall if you want to go up there.

Ypg,

I am open to criticism and can handle it.
It should become optimal.

I just want an open living style. I have that now and don’t want to miss it.

You can retreat to the room, the rest should be open.

But everything is also a matter of personal taste.

Sorry to have to say this, but successful open living is not in conflict with retreat.
Some areas are poorly planned - bedroom, kitchen...
It is obvious here, however, to optimize the wardrobe, bathroom, dressing area, and bedroom with a few changes, but that would still leave a 1970s kitchen niche.

Be that as it may. Take the criticisms to your architect, he should straighten that out. Good night

Yes, that’s how it will be...
