The chamfered corner for passing behind the sofa leads to an even more complex roof structure. The cheapest solution would be to roof the entire terrace :-)

I also find the sofa position more than uncomfortable .. in the middle of the room with its back to the windows, but in full view from the entrance.

If only possibly 1 child is planned, what is supposed to happen in the two rooms marked with child? Unfortunately, you have not filled out the checklist from
.
A site plan with property dimensions is also missing.

The guest bathroom is also quite inconveniently located, but this has already been mentioned several times.

Where I can see everything now, I'll summarize:
Everything comes together in front of or on the sofa: Mom+Dad with the child's friends, the insurance broker with the heating engineer, and in between Grandma, who is trying to cook some jam. And the child is screaming because it gets no attention back there at the dining table. Grandpa has already climbed over the sofa, by the way ;)
Somehow like on the theater stage.

Good thought, just completely wrong execution.

Best regards

I know the sofa position is not ideal, but we really want to be able to see the TV well from the kitchen. That might not be understandable for some, but that was the plan from the beginning. The second children's room (the smaller one) will be a guest room/gaming room where a sofa bed / Playseat / desk should be placed. However, as long as there is no child yet, we would divide it between both rooms. The dining table should definitely also be angled; otherwise, we could really do without the floor-to-ceiling windows. We had also already considered swapping the kitchen with the sofa, but then the door from the utility room to the hallway would have to be moved, and the fireplace elsewhere. If anyone has an idea that meets our requirements, feel free to share it ;). I have attached the site plan and a picture of the position of the house on the plot again. The house should stand about 4.5-5m from the street, with parking spaces for cars in front. The design of the location of the house is an older one.

I can understand that well: I can also watch the TV from my kitchen island (by the way, also in the garden), but as I said: the implementation here is going completely in the wrong direction.
