Hallway gone, less glass, then the living room is fine, I say. Karsten

Yes, well, but: then to the bathroom from the vestibule corridor? - or do you also mean from the living room?

Yes, a single-pitched roof does look "unusual" :)

Probably the one here: ?

Something has already been said about the hallway and guest WC. I agree and would do it like Nordlys.

About the windows: Do they really have to be floor-to-ceiling? We had them in the plan at first too. But then we discarded the idea because of our furniture. If the couch is in front of it, the great big window is useless.

I would really avoid fixed glazing. You don't save anything compared to regular windows and a burglar would prefer to enter through the patio door anyway.

Then it might be an idea to reduce the children's rooms by 2 sqm each, leave out the hallway, and then shift the bathroom slightly to the right, enlarging the hallway and living room.

By the way, you won't want to put the stroller in the hallway. Why would you? You have a garage. The stroller fits perfectly there, and in winter, you can take the footmuff outside if necessary. We did that too and it worked great.

Good evening,
thank you very much for your tips.
Leaving out the hallway in the living room is unfortunately not an option for us. We want the area to be separated and not be able to see all the doors of the rooms from the living room. In the current design, the living room is 20cm larger.
We definitely wanted the windows in the corner to be floor-to-ceiling because we find the look super stylish.
We personally prefer the hip roof.
Here is the current design (I couldn't upload it directly through the forum)

Personally, the living room feels a bit too cramped for me. But that is a matter of taste. I also don't really know how you could realize the separate living area through the living room without the dark hallway. I find it awful. We solved it so that we get there through the hallway. Really think carefully about whether you like the access through the living room. I always found it annoying (in the old apartment) when I wanted to watch TV but my husband was bustling around in the bedroom and the upstairs children's rooms.

I would find it very impractical to have to carry food and dirty dishes all the way from the kitchen to the dining table and also around the couch on the way back. For my part, I find the sequence in all-purpose rooms cooking->eating->living quite good.
